Incorporated in 1940, Casselberry has evolved from a sparsely populated agricultural town to a bustling, dynamic city that enjoys a unique and balanced mix of both residential and commercial areas. We are located at the crossroads where US Highway 17-92 and State Road 436 intersect and are positioned for growth several major infrastructure and redevelopment projects scheduled for completion by the year 2010. Today Casselberry encompasses an area of approximately 8 square miles, including more than 2 dozen lakes, the largest of which are Lake Howell , Lake Kathryn and the Triplet Chain of Lakes. Within Casselberry there are two public schools, Casselberry Elementary and South Seminole Middle School and two private schools, Kenworthy School and The Geneva School.

 

The City has a diverse mix of fine retail establishments, purveyors of clothing, electronic equipment, household furnishings, home repairs, automobile dealerships, dozens of restaurants of various ethnicities, office and commercial space, a senior center, and housing for families, single people and retirees in all price ranges. Located in the southernmost portion of Seminole County , Casselberry is 7 miles north of downtown Orlando , approximately 40 minutes from Orlando International Airport and only 15 minutes from the expanding Sanford-Orlando Airport . Whether you are getting around locally or traveling out of the City, trips are made easy with Interstate I-4, State Road 436 and US Highway 17-92 all intersecting within the City. In short Casselberry provides convenient access to any direction you choose, north to Jacksonville , south to Miami/Fort Lauderdale, east to Daytona Beach or west to Tampa.
