Economic Development NEWS!

 

Economic Development is a big topic especially in light of the upcoming major infrastructure projects that will be affecting our Community in the coming years. Our Business Community is vibrant and wishes to be an active part of growing our community in a way that promotes prosperity for all. To that end we have created the Economic Development Committee. We encourage all members to be an active member of this vital group and to help us mold the activities and growth moving forward.

 

Committee Vision

 
> Become the Communications Magnet for the Business Community as it relates to Economic Development issues.
> Facilitate 2-way communications between various City & County Agencies and the Casselberry Community at large.
 

Goals & Objectives

 
> Promote Prosperity by working with Government Agencies in selling Casselberry as the Southern Entrance to Seminole County and the City of Lakes.
> Promote retention by educating existing Business Community about available incentives and opportunities to grow their business.
> Encourage New Businesses to come to Casselberry.
 

Committee Activities

 
> Host Forums for business community as a vehicle to distribute and colect information
> Attend City Council & CRA meetings and provide input to City & County Staff
> Liasion for the Business Community with City & council Staff
> Collect & distribute information on available incentives & opportunites
> Attend area Economic Development functions to facilitate open communications within the greater Seminole County Community
